…for Cardz 4 Galz Design Team, Hand Stamped Sentiments and Use Your Stuff
I used the Welcome Easter stamp set to make this card for Cardz 4 Galz Design Team, Hand Stamped Sentiments and Use Your Stuff Challenges. Welcome Easter, found in the SU! Mini Occasions Catalog and my online store, is an adorable 11-piece stamp set.
To begin, I made a card base from 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches of Petal Pink cardstock, scored at 4 1/4 inches. Then, using the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder, I embossed a 4 x 5 1/4 inches layer of Mint Macaron cardstock. Next, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere this layer to the card front. Afterwards, using the Stitched Rectangles dies, I cut a 4 x 2 1/2 inches piece of Best Dressed 6 x 6 inches DSP and adhered this to the card front with SNAIL adhesive. (You may remember me using this DSP here and here.)
Then, I stamped the bunny image from the Welcome Easter stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Afterwards, I colored the image using the Petal Pink Combo Stampin’ Blends. Moving along, I used the Stitched Shapes Dies and cut a 2 3/8 inches circle around the stamped image. And, I adhered pieces of cotton to the bunny with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Thus, I adhered the circle to the DSP layer with SNAIL adhesive, after using my Paper Snips to cut off a piece of the right edge.
Using the Stitched Shapes again, I cut a 1 7/8 inches layer of coordinating Best Dressed 6 x 6 inches DSP. Thus, I adhered this to the cardfront with SNAIL adhesive. Then, I stamped a sentiment from the Welcome Easter stamp set with Lovely Lipstick ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Next, I used the Stitched Rectangles to cut a 2 7/8 x 7/8 inches layer around the sentiment. Afterwards, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the layer to the cardfront. Finally, I added three Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins randomly to the cardfront.
To complete the card, I added three sequins to a 4 x 5 1/4 inches layer of Whisper White cardstock. Finally, I used SNAIL adhesive to adhere this layer to the inside of the card.
I hope you enjoy using the Welcome Easter stamp set!
