for Sunday Stamps…
Today, I am using Witty-Cisms stamp set to make a card. This cute set can be found in the SU! Occasions Catalog and my online store. And, this cute set includes 9 cling stamps that can be used for multiple occasions.
I used a sketch from Sunday Stamps to make this cute card.
To begin, I used an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches piece of Poppy Parade cardstock (scored at 4 1/4 inches) to make my base. Then, I used SNAIL adhesive to adhere a 3 1/4 x 5 inches layer of Crushed Curry cardstock to the card base. To the left of this layer, I used SNAIL adhesive and added a 1 1/2 x 5 inches layer of Country Club DSP. Afterwards, I tied a strip of Crushed Curry Seam Binding around the DSP and added a bow to it. To complete this step, I adhered the entire layer to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Using Witty-Cisms and Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the taco image onto a 2 1/2 inches circle of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, cut with the Stitched Shapes dies. Then, I colored the image using the Crushed Curry and Garden Green colors from the Regals Stampin’ Write Markers set. Next, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the stitched circle to the card front.
(The Fluid 100 Watercolor paper is my newest love. I am enjoying stamping and coloring on it! You may remember I used it before, here)
Afterwards, I used the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a layer of Poppy Parade cardstock. Then, I cut the layer with the 2 1/2 x 1 inch rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle set. Next, I adhered the layer below the stitched circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals. To complete this layer, I randomly added three Metallic Pearls to the card front.
To complete the inside of the card and using Witty-Cisms, I inked up the taco image (only) with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and applied to a 4 x 5 1/4 inches piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. And, I repeated this step three times. Afterwards, I colored the image with the Crushed Curry and Garden Green markers. Finally, I secured the layer to the inside of the card with SNAIL adhesive.
I hope you enjoy using Witty-Cisms on a card!
