Tropical Oasis Suite found in the SU! January-June 2020 Mini Catalog.
Today, I’m sharing a card made with the beautiful Tropical Oasis Suite. Also, it can be found in my online store. As I type this, the suite shows as non-orderable and the estimated availability is TBD. But, the Timeless Tropical Bundle (part of the suite) shows to be available starting April 27th. So, I’m being optimistic and sharing my card.
Recipe-
I began this card with an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches sheet of Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 4 1/4 inches. Then, I embossed a 4 x 5 1/4 inches sheet of Tropical Oasis Suite DSP with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I adhered the layer to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Afterwards, I took a 3 x 4 inches piece of coordinating Tropical Oasis Suite DSP and adhered to the lower part of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. And, between the two layers, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a 4 x 1/4 inches piece of Old Olive cardstock.
Then, I used the Early Espresso ink to stamp seven small pineapples on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. (yes, my fave!) Next, using the Stamping Blends and Wink of Stella, I colored the images-So Saffron, Old Olive and Soft Suede Combos. Afterwards, I used In the Tropics dies to cut the pineapples out. Thus, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the pineapples to the center of the card front.
Next, I used Early Espresso ink and stamped a sentiment from the Tropical Oasis Suite onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Then, I used a 2 1/2 x 1 inches die from the Stitched Rectangles set to cut it out. Afterwards, I used my Paper Snips and cut an angle at one end of a 3 1/4 inches strip of Braided Burlap Ribbon. Thus, I used Tear & Tape adhesive and adhered the ribbon strip to the lower right corner of the card front. Moving forward, I used SNAIL adhesive and adhered the sentiment over the ribbon. Finally, using Mini Glue Dots, I adhered a Tropical Oasis Trinket beside the sentiment strip.
Afterwards, to complete the inside of the card, I used SNAIL adhesive to adhere a 4 x 5 1/4 inches layer of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Then, I used SNAIL adhesive to adhere a 4 x 1 inch strip of Tropical Oasis Suite DSP. (same as used on front of card) Finally, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere two pineapples on the right side of the inside layer.
Did you miss the Inkin’ Krew Ornate Garden Suite Facebook Live Event this weekend? No worries, as the videos and cards can still be seen here. Also, my scheduled blog posts did not cooperate with the event, so you can see my five card samples starting here and ending here.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my card made with the Tropical Oasis Suite!
