I used the Tidings of Christmas Suite to make a quick Christmas card for my recent class.
We had a great time at my recent Coffee & Cards Class. And, I hope you can join us next time. Too, each attendee left with 10 handmade Christmas cards. I’m sharing one of the cards today, made with the Tidings of Christmas Suite. Also, the suite can be found in the 2021 Annual Catalog and my online store.
It seems I’m drawn to suites that can be used for various occasions. And, with the stars found in the Tidings of Christmas Suite, I can use the set for celebrations (Baby, Birthday, Graduation) and for Operation Christmas Card for Troops Overseas. (It’s that time of year!) So, if you’d like to know more about this group, check it out here, here and here.
To begin, I made a card base from Evening Evergreen Cardstock. Then, I added a layer of Soft Succulent cardstock to it. Afterwards, I adhered a layer of DSP to one side of the card front.
Next, I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut a label from a coordinating piece of DSP. Thus, I added it to the card. Then, I used the dies found in the Tidings of Christmas Suite to cut a detailed star and smaller stars from Gold Foil. Also, I cut a mat for the star from Soft Succulent cardstock. Afterwards, I layered these two larger pieces together and onto the card.
Then, I used Evening Evergreen ink and stamped a greeting onto a strip of Shimmery White cardstock. Next, I trimmed the ends of the strip with the Banners Pick a Punch. Thus, I adhered the greeting strip to the front of the card.
Finally, I adhered three Gold Foil starts to the front of the card.
For the inside of the card made with the Tidings for Christmas Suite-
For the inside, I used Soft Succulent ink and stamped the floral star onto a layer of Shimmery White cardstock. Then, I used Evening Evergreen ink and stamped a sentiment in the right lower corner of the layer. Finally, I adhered the layer to the inside of the card.
I hope you enjoy seeing the Tidings for Christmas Suite. As previously mentioned, it’s a keeper for me.
