Thank you for visiting my site! Today, I am making a Birthday card with The Gang’s All Meer SAB set by Stampin’ Up! This cute set will be available till March 31st and is FREE with a $50 order. Also, this is one of the cards made during my recent Coffee & Cards Class. I hope you can join us next time. TBA.
Too, I participated in a Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge while making this card. And, this was the sketch given to us:
To begin this card, I made a base with 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches piece of Real Red cardstock, scored at 4 1/4 inches. Then, I used SNAIL adhesive and added a 4 x 5 1/4 inches layer of Country Club DSP.
Next, I stamped the large image from The Gang’s All Meer set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut with a 2 3/4 inch circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies. Then, I used the Smokey Slate Combo Blends to color the large image. Afterwards, I stamped the words from the The Gang’s All Meer set with Real Red ink, below the main image. And, to use only part of the large sentiment, I applied tape to the lower part of the stamp (“to a Stand-Up Friend”), inked it with Real Red ink, removed the tape and used the “Happy Birthday” wording.
Moving along, I embossed a scrap piece of Real Red cardstock with the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder. Then, I cut 3 strips of the embossed layer into 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches. Next, using SNAIL adhesive, I adhered one strip vertically on top of the DSP. And, I cut one end of the two remaining strips into a banner and used SNAIL adhesive to adhere both pieces horizonally on the right side of the card.
Finishing up, I adhered the stamped image over the two horizontal strips with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I added Silver Metallic Pearls to the ends of all three strips.
To complete the inside of The Gang’s All Meer card, I stamped the sentiment with Real Red ink onto a 5 1/4 x 4 inches layer of Whisper White cardstock. And, I stamped one of the Meer and hat images to the right side of the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then, I used the Smokey Slate and Real Red Combo Stampin’ Blends to color the images. Lastly, I adhered the layer to the inside of the card with SNAIL adhesive.
