Today, I wanted to share a card that says “Sorry” with the Pretty Kitty stamp set. Words can never express enough sympathies when a pet dies, but hopefully a handmade card will convey caring thoughts. The Pretty Kitty and So Sorry for Everything stamp sets can be found in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and purchased from my store.
First, I made the card base by taking an 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of Coastal Cabana cardstock, cut it in half and scored at 4 1/2 inches.
Second, I took of piece of Tea Room DSP and adhered it with SNAIL adhesive to the card front.
Third, I stamped the focal image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Fourth, I colored the image with the Stampin’ Blends. (Bermuda Bay Light, Petal Pink Light, Daffodil Delight Light and Smokey Slate
Fifth, I stamped the sentiment from the Sorry for Everything stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and cut with a 1 1/4-inch circle punch. Then, I punched out a 1 1/2-inch circle of Coastal Cabana cardstock. Next, I adhered these layers together with SNAIL adhesive and secured with SNAIL adhesive to the left lower corner of the card.
Sixth, I cut clouds out of Whisper White cardstock using the Up & Away Thinlits. Next, I lightly sponged the edges of the clouds with Coastal Cabana ink. Then, I randomly secured them with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.
Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the So Sorry for Everything stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then, I adhered this with SNAIL adhesive to the inside of the card.
