Positive Thoughts and coordinating Nature’s Thoughts Dies
will be in the new catalog, released on June 2nd. (You may remember the Nature’s Thoughts dies were an add-on during Sale-A-Bration) So, I wanted to share a card made with Positive Thoughts and Nature’s Thoughts. And, I decided to participate in the Paper Player’s sketch challenge. (PP488)
First, I made a card base using 5 1/2 x 7 inches of Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4 1/4 inches. Then, I used the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and embossed a 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches layer of Crumb Cake cardstock. (More on the embossing folder can be seen here) Next, I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the embossed layer to the short side of card.
Second, I used the largest die from the Ornate Layers set and cut a layer from Night of Navy cardstock. Next, I wrapped Linen Thread around the layer several times and tied a bow. Then, using SNAIL adhesive, I adhered the layer to the front of the card. (one edge of this layer laps over the short side of the card)
Third, I stamped a sentiment from the Positive Thoughts stamp set with Night of Navy ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then, I used a die from the Stitched So Sweetly stamp set and cut it out. Afterwards, I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped several images from the Positive Thoughts stamp set onto Very Vanilla cardstock and cut them out with the Nature’s Thoughts Dies. (Butterfly-Night of Navy ink, Leaves & Fern-Pear Pizzazz ink and Flower-Merry Merlot ink) Afterwards, I used SNAIL, Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the stamped images to the card front, framing the sentiment.
Finally, I added three Pearls randomly to the card front.
To complete the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment with Night of Navy ink onto a 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches layer of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Next, I used SNAIL adhesive and adhered it to the inside of the card. Then, I stamped a butterfly with the same ink and cut it out using the Nature’s Thoughts dies. Afterwards, I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the butterfly to the inside of the card.
