…for Tuesday Morning Sketches and Just Us Girls Challenges
Today, I’m giving a Sneak Peek of items found in the new Annual Catalog, Ornate Garden Suite. This beautiful suite contains two bundles, DSP, ribbons, gems and an embossing folder. You may remember the beautiful suite offered last fall, Christmastime is Here. Well, the Ornate Garden Suite is another beauty. Starting April 1st, the Ornate Garden Suite will be available to purchase here.
And, I used ideas from Tuesday Morning Sketches (#547) and Just Us Girls (#529) to make this card.
To begin, I made a card base using 7 x 5 1/2 inches of Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4 1/4 inches. (One side will be shorter than the other and used as the card front). Then, I used Ornate Layers dies from the Ornate Garden Suite and cut 2 1/2 inches x 5 1/4 inches of DSP. Also, I used the same die to cut a layer of Shimmery White cardstock and coordinating DSP. Next, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I adhered one layer of DSP to the card front and another inside the card.
Afterwards, I used the 3 1/4 x 2 inches rectangle from Ornate Layers dies (Ornate Garden Suite) and cut a layer of Old Olive cardstock. Then, I used Terracotta Tile ink and stamped a sentiment from the Ornate Thanks dies onto Shimmery White cardstock. Next, I cut out the sentiment using the 2 3/8 x 1 inches die from the Stitched Rectangles set. Also, I cut out the center of the Old Olive diecut with the same die. Thus, I glued the decorative die and sentiment with SNAIL adhesive to the card front.
Moving along, I used the other dies found in the Ornate Garden Suite (Ornate Borders) and cut a 5 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches border from Terracotta Tile cardstock. Then, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue and adhered the border to the left side of the card. Next, using Terracotta ink and a sentiment from the Ornate Garden Suite, (Ornate Thanks), I stamped a sentiment onto the pre-cut layer of Shimmery White cardstock. Thus, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue and adhered the layer to the inside of the card. Finally, I added three Gilded Gems to the front of the card.
I hope you enjoyed the Sneak Peek of Ornate Garden Dies! Stay tuned as my team will be showing more of the Ornate Garden Dies. TBA
