On with the stamping…
On Saturday, I hosted the New Catalog Coffee and we used the Butterfly Gala stamp set to make a Post-It note holder. This is a quick and easy gift to make and share with others.
To begin, I cut a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock to 3 x 8 1/2 inches and scored it at 3, 3 3/8, 6 3/8 and 6 7/8 inches with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Next, I used my bone folder and burnished the folds. Then, I placed the end closest to the 6 7/8 score line into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, centered it in the middle and punched. Afterwards, I cut the sides of the punched end with Paper Snips.
Following, I applied Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the 3 x 3 inches Post-It note and placed it inside the holder. Next, I applied two self-adhesive Velcro dots (non SU!) to keep the Post-It Note Holder closed. One dot was under the flap and the other was secured under the first dot.
Then, I adhered a layer of In Color 6 x 6 inches DSP to the top of the holder with SNAIL adhesive. Following, I stamped two butterfly images from the Butterfly Gala stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Next, I colored the butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set with Stampin’ Blends-Daffodil Delight and Seaside Spray Combos. Using the Butterfly Duet punch, I cut out both of the butterflies. Afterwards, I secured the butterflies to each other and to the layer of DSP with Mini Glue Dots. Finally, I added three Rhinestones above the butterflies.
Here are examples of Post-It Note Holders from attendees of the coffee, using In Color cardstock. Stampin’ Blends and Faceted Dots.
