Today, I made a card with the new SU! Lovely Leaves set for Fab Friday (#195) and Cardz 4 Galz (Monochromatic) Challenges.
The new SU! Loyal Leaves stamp set is a keeper for me! It will aid in making cards thru Soldier’s Angels for our deployed soldiers and veterans. (More information about Soldiers’ Angels can be found in this and this post) Also, I used the large background stamp, Camouflage, in Night of Navy ink on this card. And, I used Copper accents, as navy/copper are one of my favorite color combos. Thus, all these items can be found in the SU! 2020 Annual Catalog and my online store.
I started this card with a base made from 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches of Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 4 1/4 inches. Then, I laid the Camouflage stamp with rubber up and inked it with Night of Navy ink. Next, I placed a 3 1/2 x 4 7/8 piece of Whisper White cardstock over it and gently rubbed. Afterwards, I used Tear & Tape adhesive to adhere it to a 3 3/4 x 5 inches piece of Copper Foil. Thus, I adhered this layer to the card front with Tear & Tape adhesive.
Then, I used Night of Navy ink to stamp a sentiment on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Next, I cut the image out with the 2 7/8 x 1 1/2 inches die from the Stitched Rectangle set. Next, I used the 1 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches die to cut a layer of Copper Foil. Thus, I adhered these two layers together with Stampin’Dimensionals adhesive. Afterwards, I used Tear & Tape adhesive to adhere the matted layer to the card front.
Finally, I randomly placed three Star Design Elements to the card front.
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment with Night of Navy ink onto a 4 x 5 1/4 inches layer of Whisper White cardstock. Afterwards, I placed one Star Design Element next to the sentiment. Then, I used Stampin’ Seal adhesive to adhere the layer inside the card.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the card made with Loyal Leaves stamp set!
