Today, I’m using the Ice Cream Corner Suite to make a birthday card. Also, I’m participating in the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop (Celebrate Spring) and Paper Players Challenge (Spring)
Our theme for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop and The Paper Players Challenge is Spring. And, I think of ice cream when thinking of Spring. So, I made this birthday card with “Spring” colors-Mango Melody, So Saffron, Petal Pink and Terracotta Tile. Also, the Ice Cream Corner Suite can be found in the SU! Mini Jan-June Catalog and my online store.
Recipe to make the birthday card using the Ice Cream Corner Suite-
First, I started by making a card base with Terracotta Tile cardstock. Then, I added a layer of DSP from the Ice Cream Corner Suite.
Next, I used Cinnamon Cider ink to stamp three cone images onto Basic White cardstock. Then, I used the Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut out the cones. Also, I used the dies to cut a larger mat from Terracotta Tile cardstock. Afterwards, I adhered the two layers together and onto the card front.
Then, I stamped five colored ice cream images onto Basic White cardstock. (Petal Pink, Terracotta Tile and Mango Melody ink) And, I used the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch to cut out the ice cream shapes. Afterwards, I adhered the ice cream images to the cones. Also, I added three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center ice cream cone.
Also, I stamped a sentiment from The Ice Cream Corner Suite with Terracotta Tile ink onto Basic White cardstock. Then, I used a circle punch to cut it out. And, I used a larger circle punch to cut out a mat from Terracotta Tile cardstock. After adhering the two layers together, I added it to card front.
Inside, I used Terracotta Tile ink and stamped a sentiment from the Ice Cream Corner Suite onto Basic White cardstock. Then, I used Cinnamon Cider ink and stamped two cone images in the corner of the layer. Thus, I added two ice cream images to the cones. Finally, I adhered this layer to the inside of the card.
This was such a fun card to make! Also, I had shared a similar card to my recent class. Too, I hope you can join us for the next card class which will be advertised here. Thanks for visiting my site today! Please check out the other team member’s blogs.
