Today, I’m sharing a card made with the new and beautiful SU! Hand-Penned Suite.
And, the Hand-Penned Suite can be found in the new SU! Annual Catalog and my online store. Too, the Suite contains 15 stamps and coordinating dies, Genial Gems and DSP. Also, SU! carries the coordinating Memories & More Card Pack which can be used with the items. You may remember I used other Memories & More Card Packs to make quick cards seen here, here and here. So, I’ll be using this suite for multiple events and occasions.
First, I made a card base with Mint Macaron cardstock. Then, I added a layer of the DSP from the Hand-Penned Suite to the card. Next, I added a coordinating strip of DSP to the center of the card. Afterwards, I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped the sentiment on the DSP strip.
Next, I used the same ink and stamped the floral image onto Basic White cardstock. Then, I used three different colored inks to stamp the flower and leaves-Mint Macaron, Garden Green and Highland Heather. I inked the stamp once, stamped off onto scrap paper and applied the remaining ink to the image. (this is known as the “stamp-off technique)
Then, I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut out the image. Next, I used the same dies and cut a coordinating mat from Mint Macaron cardstock. Afterwards, I adhered these two layers together and adhered to the card front. Finally, I added a Pastel Pearl to the center of the flower.
Inside of the card made with the Hand-Penned Suite-
So, to complete the inside of the card, I stamped the floral image with black ink onto a layer of Basic White cardstock. Then, I colored the image using the same instructions as provided before. Next, I adhered the layer to the inside of the card.
I hope you agree that the Hand-Penned Suite is a keeper in the craft room. I used it for a Mother’s Day card and can see it used for birthdays, wedding and sympathy occasions, also. Too, it was a favorite in my recent card class. Please enjoy it!
