…For Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop (for the Boys/Men) and
Fusion Card Challenge (Sketch)
Today, I’m using the Friend Like You Bundle, found in the SU! 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. And, Good News, as it will be in the new SU! 2020-2021 Catalog (which the cover can be seen here). I decided to make the card masculine-looking to participate in Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop, For the Boys/Men. Also, I liked the Fusion Challenge sketch, so used it.
Recipe for Friend Like You Masculine Card-
First, I made a card base from 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches of Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4 1/4 inches. Next, I used Tear & Tape adhesive and adhered a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches layer of Copper Foil. Afterwards, I used SNAIL adhesive to add a 4 x 5 1/8 inches layer of Country Club DSP to the card front.
Second, I used the Friend Like You Bundle dies with Garden Green and Early Espresso cardstock to cut several layers of the reeds image. Next, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the die cuts together. Afterwards, using the same adhesive, I adhered the layered dies to a 2 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches layer of Whisper White cardstock. Also, I used the Friend Like You Bundle stamps with Night of Navy ink and stamped two dragonflies on the same layer. Then, I used Tear & Tape Adhesive and mounted the layer to a 5 1/2 x 2 3/8 inches border of Copper Foil. Thus, I mounted this layer to the card front with Tear & Tape adhesive.
Third, I used Garden Green ink to lightly stamp the reed images onto Whisper White cardstock. Then, using Night of Navy ink, I stamped a sentiment from the Friend Like You Bundle over the reed image. Next, using the 1 7/8 inches circle die from the Stitched Shapes set, I cut a circle around the stamped image. Afterwards, I used Tear & Tape adhesive to add the stamped layer to a 2-inches circle of Copper Foil. (cut with the Layering Circles set). Thus, using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added the layered image to the border on the card front.
To Complete the Card made with the Friends Like You Bundle-
Fourth, I used SNAIL adhesive to adhere a 4 x 5 1/4 inches layer of Whisper White cardstock inside the card, Then, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the remaining reed die cut to the corner of the layer. Finally, I stamped a sentiment with Night of Navy ink in the center of the layer.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my card made with the Friend Like You Bundle. As always, this wonderful set can be found in my online store here. Too, since it can be used for multiple occasions, I see it being a keeper in my craft supply.

Great card, Leslie. I have been undecided about this bundle, but probably will have to have it now that I have seen how you used it. Love those cattails, the plaid and the copper. Well done.

Love this! That plaid paper is perfect and your little grassy scene with the swete butterflies goes with it like it was made for it! Well done! 🙂
