I made a card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop using the SU! Driving By SAB stamp set.
Our topic for the Blog Hop is “Love” and I chose several items in this category. And, before sharing more about the Driving By SAB stamp set, I wanted to share an update.
Shopping during SAB-
Some of the newcomers may not know about Sale-A-Bration, a SU! twice/annual event. With each qualifying purchase ($50 and above), you’ll be able to choose a free item from the SAB catalog. And, previous free items consisted of stamp sets, dies, DSP, twine and ribbons. So, you’ll want to shop early as the items are available till the end of February or while supplies last. And, you can learn more about SAB by viewing the online catalog in my sidebar or here.
Hosting during SAB-
Too, hosting is even more rewarding during Sale-A-Bration season. Yes, just host a party, reach a certain amount in sales (see the chart on the host page in the January–June 2022 Mini Catalog for more information) and earn the Calming Camellia Cling Stamp Set (item 158117) for free! Also, if you reach $300 in sales outside of your party, then you’ll earn the same stamp set for free through my online store.
Joining during SAB-
Also, if you decide to sign up as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator during Sale-A-Bration, you’ll receive two free stamp sets after picking all of the items for your Starter Kit. The stamp sets need to be live at the time of picking them, so anything you see in a current catalog or at stampinup.com is eligible.
Feel free to contact me for any SAB questions.
Recipe for card made with the Driving By SAB stamp set-
First, I made a card base with Real Red cardstock. Then, I added a layer of Sweet Talk DSP to it. Next, I folded down the upper right corner of the card and adhered it to the base.
Next, I matted a square of coordinating DSP to Real Red and Highland Heather cardstocks. So, I adhered the mat to the corner of the card. Then, I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped a “love bug” and coupe cars onto Real Red and Blushing Bride cardstocks. And, I used my Paper Snips to cut out the cars, the wheels and windows. Too, I adhered the wheels to the cars and added a Black Matte Dot to each of them. Also, I added a small layer of Basic White cardstock behind the windows of the “love bug” car. Afterwards, I adhered the “love bug” card to the matted square.
Then, I used black ink and stamped a sentiment from the Driving By SAB stamp set below the “love bug”. Next, I cut hearts from Real Red and Blushing Bride cardstocks with the Sweet Talk Dies. Afterwards, I adhered two of the hearts to the card front.
Completing the inside of the card-
Moving along, I used black ink and stamped a sentiment from the Best Delivery stamp set (Mini Jan-June catalog) onto a layer of Basic White cardstock. Plus, I added the coupe car and several hearts to the same layer. Afterwards, I adhered the layer to the inside of the card.
So, I had lots of fun playing with the Driving By SAB stamp set and other new items. And, I hope you’ll earn the set during Sale-A-Bration.
Onto the Blog Hop-
I hope you’ll visit each team member’s blog to see what they made for the hop.
