Today, I’m posting pictures of a recent card swap (2021) done with other SU! demonstrators.
And, our hostess for the Card Swap (2021) was Karen Oster. She requested we use at least one new In Color/item from the newest SU! catalog, more than one layer and at least one embellishment. (Each swap has their theme and specific directions) Also, you can see my two cards for the swap here and here. (I signed-up for two different groups)
Too, you may ask, what is a card swap? It’s an event where you contribute x amount of the same card and receive the same amount of different cards. It’s a great way to get new ideas and see how products are used. Plus, I like to share the cards with my customers so they’ll gain the same experiences.
How to participate in a card swap (2021)-
To begin, I make my sample card for the card swap (2021). And, I try to keep layers and embellishments to a minimum depending on the number of cards I’m reproducing. So, I reproduce my card the number of times specified in the rules. Then, I put the card, an extra chipboard layer and my contact information (business card) in a protective cellophane bag. Plus, I add a few dollars to aid the hostess with additional costs of the swap. (extra postage, gas) Next, I place all the items in a box/mailer and compute shipping costs. Afterwards, I add the amount of postage to another mailer (addressed to me) and place in my box, etc. Thus, I mail my cards before the stated deadline and wait for my return package.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the card swap (2021) and get lots of new ideas Below, I’ve added a few reminders for your review.
