I’m using Butterfly Gala for the Fusion Challenge (Dragonfly) and Cardz 4 Galz Design Team (Hello).
Hello! Today, I am making a card with the Butterfly Gala stamp set. It’s an “old faithful” set found in the SU! 2020 Annual Catalog and my online store. Too, you may have seen me use the set here and here. Also, this 18 piece set uses two-step stamping, is very versatile and can be used for many different occasions.
First, I made a card base using Coastal Cabana cardstock. Next, I added a layer of the Playing with Patterns DSP to it. Then, I used a large die (non-SU!) and cut a circle from Whisper White cardstock. Too, I made a mat from Coastal Cabana cardstock. Afterwards, I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and randomly stamped butterflies on the circle and scrap Whisper White cardstock. Thus, I cut out the extra butterflies with the coordinating punch.
Next, I used several different items to color the butterflies-Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Purple Posy and Mango Melody Combo Blends.
Then, I cut the circle/mat in half and added one part to the card front. And, the other butterflies were randomly placed around the card.
Moving along, I stamped a sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Next, I cut the sentiment into a strip and cut one end with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. Then, I adhered the other end under the circle.
For the inside, I stamped a sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Then, I randomly added the extra butterflies to the layer. Afterwards, I mounted the layer inside the card. Finally, I added Champagne Rhinestones to the front and inside of the card.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the Butterfly Gala, again.
