…for SUO Challenges.
Hello! Thanks for visiting my site. Today, I’m using the SU! Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set (found in the SU! Mini Occasions Catalog) to make a thank-you card. Now, more than ever, we need to find healthy distractions from the world news and current events. And, I find rubber stamping does just that! The Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set is considered a background stamp, but can be used multiple ways. Too, it will be available in my online store till July and while supplies last.
I decided to participate in the SUO Challenge, Spring, while making this card. (SUOC 245)
To begin, I made a card base with 11 x 4 1/4 inches of Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 5 1/2 inches. Then, I adhered a 4 x 5 1/4 inches layer of So Saffron cardstock using SNAIL adhesive. Next, I applied Memento Tuxedo Black ink to the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set. Afterwards, I laid the stamp facing up and applied a 5 x 3 3/4 inches piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper on top of it. (Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper is my new love and can be seen used here and here.) After smoothing my hand gently on back of the paper, I removed it from the stamp. Using the Gray Granite and So Saffron Combo Stampin’ Blends, I colored flowers and leaves on the stamped image. Thus, I adhered the stamped image to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Moving along and using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, I stamped the “Thank You” sentiment from the Stitched All Around stamp set on to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Then, using the coordinating Stitched Labels Dies, I cut out the sentiment. Then, using the Layering Circle dies, I cut a 1 1/2 inches circle from So Saffron cardstock and 1 7/8 inches circle from Gray Granite cardstock. Next, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I adhered the So Saffron circle behind the stamped sentiment layer. Afterwards, I used SNAIL adhesive and added the Gray Granite circle to the card front. And, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the layered sentiment to the Gray Granite circle.
Next, I randomly added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.
To complete the inside of the card, I inked up the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set with So Saffron ink and applied a scrap piece of paper with light pressure. Then, I applied a 4 x 5 1/4 inches piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to the stamp and applied pressure. Finally, I adhered this layer to the inside of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I hope you enjoy using the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set!
