Using the Blossoms into Bloom #2 stamp set without the dies…
Today, I’m sharing a SU! Blossoms into Bloom #2 card made without the die cuts. Too, you may remember me using this set and the dies before. I like the watercolor look that it created this time. Also, this is one of the cards made at a recent card class.
My list of retired items can be found here.
I participated with the Time Out Challenge, using this quote as an inspiration piece.
I started by making a card base with 8 ½ x 5 ½ inches of Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 4 ¼ inches. Then, I used SNAIL adhesive and applied a 4 x 5 ¼ inches layer of Crumb Cake cardstock.
Then, I used the large image and Craft White ink to stamp the flower onto the Crumb Cake layer. (I found the Stamparatus worked best with this) Next, I used Crushed Curry ink and stamped the center of the flowers. Then, using Granny Apple Green, I stamped the flowers. Afterwards, I used Early Espresso ink and stamped the sentiment from the Blossoms into Bloom #2 set.
Next, I wrapped Linen Thread several times around this layer and tied it off. Then, I used SNAIL adhesive and adhered the layer to the card front. Afterwards, I added three Champagne Rhinestones to the card front.
Moving forward, I cut a 4 x 5 1/4 inches layer of Crumb Cake cardstock. I stamped the following in the right hand corner of this layer- the smaller flowers with Craft Whisper White ink, the centers with Crushed Curry ink and the leaves with Granny Apple Green ink. Finally, I adhered the layer to the inside of the card with SNAIL adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Blossoms into Bloom #2 card. These items will be available in the new annual catalog and my online store starting June 3rd. And, the deadline to sign-up for my DSP and Ribbon Share is Sunday, May 31st.
