Best Year Bundle

Leslie Larkin · June 20, 2020 · 4 Comments

The Best Year Bundle contains the Best Year Stamp Set and Best Plaid Builder Dies.

Today, I’m sharing the Best Year Bundle with you.  Also, this set can be found in the new SU! 2020-21 Annual Catalog and my online store.  Too, I see this set being a keeper due to the eleven different sentiments found in the Best Year Bundle.  Also, the dies can be personalized for any event with many different color combinations.

So, I decided to make this a Father’s Day card.  My Dad passed away almost eight years ago.  And, he would of loved the colors chosen for this card-Red and Black. (see same color combo here) He loved the GA Bulldawgs as much as the Ole Miss Rebels.  Too, you can see it for yourself.

Best Year Bundle

I played along with The Library Challenge while making this card.

And, we were to use this picture as an inspiration piece while playing with The Library Challenge.

Best Year Bundle

Recipe-

To begin, I made a card base from 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches of Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4 1/4 inches.  Next, I used one of the dies (most detailed one) from the Best Years Bundle with Real Red cardstock to make a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches layer.  Then, I used the other die (one with large squares) with Basic Black cardstock to make an additional layer.  Afterwards, I used The Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the two layers together.  Thus, I used the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere this layer to the front of the card.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the Best Years Bundle with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock.  Then, I used the Stitched Shapes and cut a 1 7/8 inches circle around the sentiment.  Following, I used the 2 3/8 inches circle from the set to cut a mat from Basic Black cardstock.  Afterwards, I used Stampin Seal adhesive to adhere the two layers together.  Thus, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment layer to the card front.

Then, I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere a Gold Hoop around the sentiment.  Finally, I applied three Gold Metallic Pearls to the card front.

Afterwards, I used the Stitched Rectangles die and cut a 3 3/8 x 4 3/4 inches layer from Crumb Cake cardstock.  Next, I used the same dies to cut a 4 x 5 1/4 inches layering mat from Real Red cardstock.  Then, I used the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder and embossed the mat.  Afterwards, I adhered the two layers together and onto the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal adhesive.  Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Best Year Bundle onto the Crumb Cake layer.

Best Year Bundle

I hope you enjoyed my Father’s Day card made with the Best Year Bundle!

I really like the way the background pattern is made with layers of die-cuts . Lovely card. Thanks for joining The Library.
