I made a sympathy card using the new SU! Beauty of the Earth Suite.
Too, the Beauty of the Earth Suite contains stamps, dies, DSP and an embossing folder. I look forward to you seeing it. And, I don’t know why but I “appear” to like using tree images for sympathy cards as seen here.
First, I made a card base using Mossy Meadow cardstock. Then, I took 3 different strips of papers from Beauty of the Earth DSP and added to the card front.
Second, I used the following color inks to stamp the tree-Cinnamon Cider (trunk), Old Olive-(tree outline), Mossy Meadow (detailed leaves image). Then, I cut the layer out using my Paper Trimmer. Next, I used the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut a coordinating mat from Mossy Meadow cardstock. Thus, I adhered these two layers together. Afterwards, I wrapped Baker’s twine around the matted layer and adhered it to the card.
Third, I used Mossy Meadow ink and stamped a sentiment from the (new) Inspired Thoughts stamp set onto a layer of Basic White cardstock. Then, I cut the sentiment out with the Stitched Rectangles dies. Next, I used my Paper Snips and cut a mat from Mossy Meadow cardstock. Afterwards, I adhered the two layers together and placed on the card front.
On the inside of the card made with the Beauty of the Earth Suite-
I repeated the steps to make a tree and placed it on a layer of Basic White cardstock. Afterwards, I adhered the layer to the inside of the card.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the new Beauty of the Earth Suite. I can see it being used for several different occasions.
