Today, I’d like to share a card made with the SU! A Touch of Ink stamp set for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop.
You may remember our last month’s hop seen here. And, this month’s theme is Birthdays, so I decided to use the SAB A Touch of Ink stamp set. (More details about SAB can be found here.) Too, this Two-Step set is free with a $100 purchase. Also, it will be available till February 28th.
First, I made a card base using Misty Moonlight cardstock. Then, I adhered a layer of Flower & Field DSP (another SAB item available free with a $50 purchase.) Next, I cut two strips of coordinating DSP and matted them with Misty Moonlight cardstock. Afterwards, I overlapped the strips and adhered them to the card front.
Secondly, I stamped the detailed butterfly image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Shimmery White cardstock. Also, I stamped the second butterfly image over it using Misty Moonlight ink. Then, I colored the butterfly with Shaded Spruce Combo Blends. And, I added Wink of Stella to the image. Next, the image was cut with the Layering Circles dies. Afterwards, I used the same dies to cut a mat from Misty Moonlight cardstock. Thus, the matted image was adhered to the card front.
Thirdly, I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped a sentiment from the SAB Approaching Perfection stamp set onto Shimmery White cardstock. (another SAB set free with a $50 purchase) Next, I used the Stitched Shapes die set to cut out the sentiment. Thus, I adhered it to the card front. Afterwards, I added three Pastel Pearls below the sentiment.
Fourthly, I stamped another sentiment and the two-step butterfly images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a layer of Shimmery White cardstock. Next, I stamped the second butterfly image with Misty Moonlight ink. And, I used the Shaded Spruce Combo Blends to color the butterfly. Finally, I adhered this layer to the inside of the card.
I hope you enjoyed seeing A Touch of Ink stamp set. Don’t forget, it’s available till February 28th. And, with it’s beautiful two-step images, it will be a keeper in my stash. Also, please visit the other blogs listed below.
